The Washington Post is reporting that the Trump administration has appointed Elias Irizarry, a convicted Jan. 6 rioter, to a sensitive counterterrorism position within the Pentagon. It said the appointment has caused alarm among some officials in the Defense Department. Irizarry was 19 years old at the time of the Capitol attack.
