George Mason University is buzzing with activity, from upcoming professional development opportunities and significant athletic facility enhancements to innovative academic programs and community engagement initiatives.
The university announced its Faculty-Staff Enrichment Day, scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, inviting proposals for workshops focused on "Future Ready, People First." This in-person event aims to foster personal and professional growth, collaboration, and learning across the campus community, with a deadline for submissions on Friday, August 14.
George Mason Athletics is also enhancing the gameday experience at EagleBank Arena for the upcoming basketball seasons. Upgrades include a new Courtside Club, Patriot Lounge, a relocated student section near The Green Machine, and new concourse features like a Family Zone, Kids Area, and Beer Garden, aiming to match the team's momentum.
Academically, the Mason Autonomy and Robotics Center (MARC) launched its inaugural Robotics Academy, an internship program for high school and undergraduate students.
