The Arlington Circuit Court, which includes the City of Falls Church, will initiate its annual juror qualification process in early September, mailing questionnaires to approximately 35,000 randomly selected residents. This crucial step aims to qualify individuals for jury duty throughout 2027, from January 1 to December 31.
Residents chosen from state voter registration rolls will receive a postcard with instructions. Recipients are required to visit the secure Juror Website at https://ejuror.arlingtonva.us/ using their Candidate/Juror ID# to complete and submit the form online within 10 days of receipt. The Court strongly encourages online submission to conserve resources.
For those unable to access the website, a paper copy can be requested by calling 703-228-3123, providing their Candidate/Juror ID#, first and last name, and zip code. Documentation for hardship claims, such as doctor’s notes or travel documents, should be emailed to cctjury@arlingtonva.us or faxed to 703-228-7079 after online submission.
It is important to note that the questionnaire is not a summons to appear for jury duty. Failure to respond or providing incomplete information may result in a court summons to complete the form in person. Qualified individuals may receive an official summons next year. Jury service typically lasts one to three days, with jurors receiving $50 daily for expenses. The Jury Coordinator will never call citizens to request money for non-compliance.
