The Arlington County Police Department is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred in the 3800 block of Lorcom Lane on the late morning of June 30, 2026. The incident resulted in the death of the driver, Mauricia Flores De Andrade, 61, of Burke, Virginia.
Police were dispatched at approximately 11:02 a.m. after reports of a crash with injuries. Preliminary investigation indicates Ms. De Andrade, the sole occupant, was traveling eastbound on Lorcom Lane when her vehicle left the roadway and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle in a residential driveway. She sustained serious injuries, was transported to an area hospital, and was pronounced deceased.
Investigators believe the driver suffered an apparent medical emergency prior to the crash. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
