A two-vehicle crash in Chantilly on June 2, 2026, resulted in the death of one man and left another injured. Fairfax County Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the fatal incident that occurred on Pleasant Valley Road.
Officers responded at 8:38 a.m. to the 4300 block of Pleasant Valley Road. Preliminary findings indicate a 2001 Honda Accord, traveling southbound, crossed into northbound lanes and collided with a 2001 Ford F450 Super Duty truck.
Daniel Tsequi Mehari, 52, of Chantilly, the driver of the Honda Accord, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The adult male driver of the Ford F450 sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are actively investigating the crash's circumstances, though speed and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors at this preliminary stage.
