Fairfax County Animal Services successfully facilitated the adoption of over 75 shelter pets during its recent "Clear the Shelters" event, with an additional 30 animals placed on adoption auditions. Due to this success, Animal Services is extending the event from August 28-30.
The extended adoption event will take place at both the Michael R. Frey and Lorton campuses. To encourage further adoptions, individuals who adopt a cat or dog aged six years or older will receive a $250 care credit redeemable at Pender Veterinary Centre. This initiative aims to find loving homes for more senior pets.
