The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is set to host a webinar on May 28, 2026, providing an overview of the amended Fiscal Year 2024 Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) funding opportunity. This session aims to inform states, local communities, territories, and Tribal Nations about recent changes and guide them in submitting high-quality applications.
The webinar, scheduled from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time, will cover important updates, eligibility requirements, and FMA program priorities. Registration is required to attend the Zoom session, which will also be recorded and made available on FEMA’s website at a later date.
The deadline for submitting applications for the Flood Mitigation Assistance funding opportunity is August 6, 2026, at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Subapplicants are advised to check with their respective state, tribe, or territory for potentially earlier local deadlines. Additionally, the Nebraska Department of Water, Energy, and Environment Floodplain Management Division will offer two identical virtual briefings for subapplicants on May 29, 2026, and June 2, 2026.
