Mayor Karen Bass announced extended resources and a town hall meeting for Boyle Heights residents impacted by the Lineage warehouse fire, following her Emergency Executive Orders issued on June 29. The Mayor will join Councilmember Ysabel Jurado, Supervisor Hilda Solis, and Lineage leadership at a town hall on Thursday, July 9, at 6:30 PM to hear directly from the community.
To address health concerns, multiple mobile health clinics are available. The AltaMed Mobile Clinic will operate at Lou Costello Recreation Center on Thursday, July 9, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Clinica Romero Mobile Clinic will be at the same location on Friday, July 10, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering respiratory screenings, asthma assessments, mental health support, and other basic health services.
The Community Resource Center at Lou Costello Jr. Recreation Center remains open until Friday, July 10, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It provides air purifiers, food kits, financial aid, job assistance, and connections to City and County programs. Over 2,000 households have received support, and Lyft is offering discounted rides to the center through July 17 for affected residents.
