Fairfax County Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash in Hybla Valley that resulted in the death of an adult female pedestrian on Thursday evening.
The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on July 2, 2026, at the intersection of Richmond Highway and Dart Drive. Preliminary findings by the Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) indicate that the driver of a 2026 Ford F-250 was turning right from Dart Drive onto northbound Richmond Highway when they struck the pedestrian, who was using a mobility device while crossing Dart Drive from north to south.
The woman was transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition and later pronounced deceased. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The driver of the Ford remained on scene and was uninjured, with alcohol and speed not appearing to be factors in the crash.
Detectives are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with information to contact the Crash Reconstruction Unit at 703-280-0543 or submit anonymous tips through Crime Solvers.
