Arlington County Parks & Recreation announced that all outdoor programming and activities scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. will be either moved indoors or canceled due to a Heat Advisory. This decision impacts all Parks & Recreation and partner outdoor programming, including league practices and games at County outdoor facilities.

Participants in affected programs will receive direct communication via email regarding specific changes or cancellations. For summer camp programming, any relocations, early closings, or cancellations will be communicated directly to participants through email, phone calls, or text messages.

Residents are advised to limit time outdoors during the heat advisory and consider hot weather tips for keeping cool. The county suggests visiting libraries or community centers for free places to spend time indoors. Residents can also sign up for Arlington Alerts to receive hazardous weather updates.
