Ninety Educators Attend Library of Congress Summer Teacher Institute

Ninety educators from across the United States recently participated in the 2026 Library of Congress Summer Teacher Institute in Washington, D.C.

Selected from nearly 200 applicants, these K-16 teachers engaged in a three-day program. They worked with Library education specialists and subject-matter experts to enhance their skills.

The institute, part of the "Teaching with Primary Sources" program, focused on effective practices for using primary sources in the classroom. Participants explored millions of digitized historical artifacts and documents available on the Library’s website.
