Fairfax County Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred early this morning in Seven Corners, resulting in the death of an adult male pedestrian. Detectives from the Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to the intersection of Arlington Boulevard and Patrick Henry Drive around 1:22 a.m. on May 26, 2026, after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

Preliminary findings indicate the pedestrian was crossing Arlington Boulevard from north to south within a crosswalk but against the pedestrian signal when a light-colored sedan, traveling eastbound, struck him. The driver of the sedan then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased, and his identity is being withheld pending family notification.

The investigation is ongoing, with detectives actively working to identify the driver and vehicle involved. Authorities are also examining whether speed and alcohol were contributing factors.
