Four individuals have been charged in a superseding indictment for their alleged involvement in a January 2026 jewelry store robbery in Cape Coral, Florida, where over $1 million in jewelry was stolen.
Ivel Sanchez Rivera (52, Hialeah), Osmani Barrios Carrera (37, Hialeah), and Yunior Lopez Delgado (42, Miami) face charges of conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery, interference with commerce by robbery, and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. A fourth suspect, Alberto Perez Elias (57, Miami), remains at large following the investigation by the Cape Coral Police Department, Hialeah Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
According to court documents, the crew gained entry to the jewelry store by breaking into an adjacent vacant business and then through a shared wall. They held the manager at gunpoint, accessed a safe, and fled to Miami with thousands of pieces of jewelry. If convicted, each defendant faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison, plus a consecutive 7-year sentence for the firearm charge.
