Detectives and deputies in Boise, Idaho, arrested a 29-year-old man on Thursday afternoon in connection with the alleged sexual assault and kidnapping of a teenage girl. Jose Lozano Flores was taken into custody at Quinn’s Pond and subsequently booked into the Ada County Jail on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.
Lozano Flores faces charges of felony lewd conduct with a child under 16, felony first-degree kidnapping, and misdemeanor resisting and obstructing. The arrest by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office and Star Police occurred around 3:19 p.m. on July 23, 2026.
The charges stem from an incident reported Wednesday evening, July 22, 2026. Investigators said preliminary information indicates Lozano Flores sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl at Freedom Park in Star at approximately 9 p.m., then left the park with her in his vehicle. Authorities noted that Lozano Flores and the victim were not known to each other prior to the incident.
The victim was also located at Quinn’s Pond and has since been reunited with her family. Due to the sensitive nature of the case, authorities have stated that details are limited and no further information will be released at this time.
