Among the signed legislation is AB 182, by Assemblymember Gail Pellerin, concerning ballot measures for the November 3, 2026, statewide general election. Assemblymember Michelle Rodriguez's AB 1571 focuses on product safety, specifically recreational water safety and wearable personal flotation devices for infants and children.
Education received attention with AB 1920, by Assemblymember Mark González, which pertains to California College Promise fee waiver eligibility for community colleges, and Senator Josh Becker's SB 968, affecting the San Mateo County Community College District. Additionally, Senator Jerry McNerney's SB 1350 defines renewable electrical generation facilities, and SB 1428, from the Committee on Natural Resources and Water, establishes a Gravity-Based Energy Storage Well Pilot Program and addresses marine invasive species and public lands. Assemblymember Juan Alanis's AB 2085 relates to the display of indications on weighing and measuring devices.
