Philadelphia, PA – Two Philadelphia men, Tyler Nichols and Dadisi Williams, have received lengthy prison sentences for a series of gunpoint commercial robberies and attempts in and around the city. United States Attorney David Metcalf announced the sentencings, which followed charges of robbery interfering with interstate commerce and using firearms during violent crimes.

Tyler Nichols, 31, was sentenced today to 20 years in prison, along with five years of supervised release and $5,158.72 in restitution. His co-defendant, Dadisi Williams, 33, received a 15-year prison sentence last month, accompanied by two years of supervised release and the same restitution amount. Both sentences were handed down by United States District Judge Gail A. Weilheimer.

Williams pleaded guilty to all charges in January, while Nichols was convicted by a federal jury the same month. The offenses, all committed at gunpoint, included the September 19, 2024, robbery of a Family Dollar, the September 27, 2024, robbery of an AutoZone, and attempted robberies of Family Dollar stores on October 6 and October 11, 2024. The case was investigated by the Philadelphia Police Department, Lower Merion Township Police Department, and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force.
