COLUMBUS, Ohio – Governor Mike DeWine has ordered that flags be flown at half-staff in honor of Jeff Armbruster, the Lorain County Administrator and former State Senator. The directive applies to all public buildings and grounds throughout Lorain County, as well as the Ohio Statehouse, Vern Riffe Center, and Rhodes Tower.

The flags of the United States and the state of Ohio will be lowered from sunrise to sunset on June 7, 2026, which is the day of Armbruster's funeral. This action is taken to honor his life and dedicated service.

Public buildings and grounds across the rest of Ohio are also permitted to fly flags at half-staff at their discretion during the same period.
