The Federal Trade Commission has amended the agency's Rules of Practice to better align with the FTC Act and reflect organizational changes, including the creation of the American Competition Enforcement Division.

The FTC approved publication of Federal Register notices revising the Rules of Practice, the agency said. The amendments also correct a number of minor errors and omissions in the previous version of the Rules.

The changes follow the creation of the American Competition Enforcement Division, which the amendments are intended to reflect alongside the requirements of the FTC Act.

The commission said the revisions are meant to bring its procedural rules in line with the statute and its current structure. No further details on the timing of the Federal Register publication were provided.
