Just in time for the July 4 Independence Day Holiday, Chronicling America has updated its database with newly-digitized newspapers from contributors to the National Digital Newspaper Program. The updates include newspaper issues that printed the Declaration of Independence. The Library of Congress has hand-corrected the text in the Declaration of Independence so that it is fully and accurately searchable.

- The New York Packet, and the American Advertiser, July 11, 1776
- The Pennsylvania Evening Post, July 6, 1776
- The Pennsylvania Gazette, July 10, 1776
- The Pennsylvania Journal, or Weekly Advertiser, July 10, 1776
- The Pennsylvania Ledger, or, the Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, & New-Jersey Weekly Advertiser, July 13, 1776
- The Virginia Gazette, July 20, 1776
- The Virginia Gazette July 26, 1776
