Breaking Defense also highlighted a new column by Robbin Laird, which examines the Indo-Pacific security architecture, discussing a shift from a "hub-and-spoke" model to an "allied security web."
Finally, it said Sen. Budd is hopeful that airpower bills, including multiyear buys for F-35 and F-15EX fighter jets, will be added to the National Defense Authorization Act. The North Carolina lawmaker sponsored three bills aimed at increasing fighter jet inventory and retaining pilots.
