ADM, a global leader in innovative solutions, announced a more than $16 million investment to expand its Boone County facility in Northern Kentucky, creating over 40 new full-time jobs.
This expansion will add 14,000 square feet of manufacturing space by early 2027, significantly increasing the capacity for liquid and dry-blended natural color solutions. This builds on a previous $26 million investment in its nearby Erlanger facility, reinforcing ADM's commitment to customers and the Northern Kentucky community.
"As customers respond to evolving consumer preferences and changing regulatory landscapes, color has become a crucial part of successful reformulation," said Calvin McEvoy, ADM’s president of global flavors. "This investment strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality, reliable and scalable natural color solutions from our Colors From Nature portfolio to our customers, further positioning Northern Kentucky as a critical hub for our North American colors business."
Gov. Andy Beshear highlighted the project as further momentum for the state's manufacturing and food and beverage industries. Boone County Judge/Executive Gary Moore noted the expansion will create quality jobs and strengthen the region's manufacturing sector. Erlanger Mayor Jessica Fette praised ADM as an exceptional partner, emphasizing the strength of Northern Kentucky's skilled workforce.
To support the project, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved a 10-year incentive agreement, potentially providing up to $305,000 in tax incentives based on ADM's investment and job creation targets. This investment contributes to Kentucky's record economic growth, with over $50 billion in private-sector investments and more than 70,000 jobs announced during Gov. Beshear's administration.
