Governor Jim Pillen has requested that all flags in Nebraska be lowered to half-staff on Monday, August 3, to honor the late Crete Police Chief Gary Young.
Chief Young died on Monday, prompting the Governor's directive. The Crete Police Department has since announced details regarding the funeral service and procession, which are scheduled to take place on the same day.
