Marlon Leftwich, 46, of Huntington, West Virginia, pleaded guilty today to production of child pornography, stemming from an incident in 2016 involving a 5-year-old minor female.
Court documents revealed that on or about January 1, 2016, Leftwich persuaded the child to engage in sexually explicit conduct with him at his Huntington residence. He recorded the act using a cell phone and subsequently transferred the video file to a memory card.
Leftwich is scheduled for sentencing on October 5, 2026. He faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years and up to 30 years in prison, along with at least five years of supervised release, a fine up to $250,000, and mandatory sex offender registration.
United States Attorney Moore Capito announced the plea and commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation for their investigative work. This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a Department of Justice initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse.
