Leonias Juber Ramos-Garcia, a 26-year-old Guatemalan national unlawfully residing in Culver, Oregon, has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for traveling across state lines to sexually abuse a minor victim.
Ramos-Garcia received his sentence yesterday, which also includes five years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty on November 18, 2025, to traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
Court documents reveal that in February 2025, Ramos-Garcia gave the minor cash and a note expressing affection. He later sent sexually explicit messages and, in March 2025, booked a hotel in Central Oregon where he sexually abused the victim. The abuse continued in April 2025, when he traveled from Oregon to Washington to book a second hotel for the same purpose.
U.S. Attorney Scott E. Bradford for the District of Oregon announced the sentencing. The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the FBI, with assistance from the DEA and ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney William M. McLaren. This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, a Department of Justice initiative combating child sexual exploitation.
