California Governor Gavin Newsom today signed four new bills into law, addressing voter registration, publication requirements, and election procedures. The legislation aims to refine existing state regulations.

Among the signed bills is AB 2153, authored by Assemblymember Marc Berman, which focuses on voter registration and residency confirmation. Assemblymember Tina McKinnor's AB 2323 concerns the publication of newspapers of general circulation.

Additionally, Governor Newsom approved two bills from the Committee on Elections and Constitutional Amendments, SB 1429 and SB 1430, both pertaining to elections. These new laws are effective immediately.
