The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is reporting that its latest podcast episode, "CAIR on AIR," features Hamza Abu-Hamdeh and Noor Al Dein Al-Absi, co-founders of the Young Palestinians of Birmingham (YPB). It said the activists discussed their advocacy for Palestinian self-determination, grassroots organizing in Birmingham, and challenges faced, including institutional pushback from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

CAIR-LA is reporting via an Al Jazeera op-ed that Ben Shapiro's anti-Muslim film is not new, but rather a recycling of old narratives. It said the film's promotion comes amid high anti-Muslim hate and aims to distract from Israel's actions in Gaza and declining influence of Shapiro and The Daily Wire.

CAIR is reporting its response to the death of war criminal Ratko Mladic, commending the Bosnian people and international justice system for holding him accountable. It said the organization remembers the victims of the Bosnian genocide and called for accountability for current war criminals in places like Gaza, Sudan and Burma.

CAIR-MN is reporting that co-founders of the National Target Boycott will hold a press conference Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, outside Target's corporate headquarters in Minneapolis. It said they will demand answers regarding a racially offensive children's Halloween costume sold by the retailer, attributing such failures to a rollback of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

CAIR is reporting that it welcomed a Baltimore County School Board member's apology and commitment to visit a mosque. Separately, A. Britton O'Shields, a staff attorney at CAIR's Alabama office, told USA Today that Republicans are reviving anti-Muslim rhetoric to create a "common enemy" for midterms, silence critics of Israel's actions in Gaza, and distract from other issues. O'Shields called Sen. Tuberville a "coward" for inciting hatred instead of engaging with Muslim constituents.

The Guardian and Al Jazeera are reporting that CAIR expressed deep concern over the appointment of three pro-Israel Democrats to key roles on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. CAIR National Deputy Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell said these appointments indicate House leaders intend to defy the will of the American people regarding funding for the Israeli government's actions. CAIR-NJ is reporting it filed an ethics complaint against a Columbia High School principal over an Israel trip. CAIR's Michigan chapter released a new safety toolkit for mosques and Islamic schools in response to a May 2026 shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego.
