The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has charged 38 entities for allegedly making false filings to misrepresent themselves as legitimate U.S. advisory firms, aiming to attract retail investors.

These entities are accused of submitting material misrepresentations in Forms ADV to the Commission between 2025 and 2026. The SEC's action targets firms that sought to feign legitimacy to lure unsuspecting investors.
