World leaders came to Columbia University's Morningside campus last week to meet with students, faculty, and staff as part of the University's World Leaders Forum, President Mnookin said.
The visits took place while the General Assembly met across town at the United Nations and Climate Week events got underway in New York City.
The World Leaders Forum, which started some 23 years ago, invites heads of state and of major global organizations to engage with the Columbia community.
This year's guests included Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland; Jose Raul Mulino Quintero, President of the Republic of Panama; First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska; Alexander Stubb, President of the Republic of Finland; and Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic.
Mitsotakis was part of a series of speeches and discussions about artificial intelligence and culture.
