Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jim Tressel concluded their statewide "Heart of Opportunity Tour" today with events in Cincinnati and Springfield, celebrating Ohio's recognition as CNBC's No. 1 State for Business. The tour highlighted partnerships, investments, and workforce strategies driving the state's economic success.
The Cincinnati stop took place at Medpace Inc., featuring panelists Kimm Lauterbach, Michele O’Rourke, and Dr. Monica Posey. Governor DeWine said, "Medpace is a great example of the kind of company that can thrive in Ohio because of the talent, resources, and business environment we have worked to build." He added that Ohio is attracting and growing companies across various industries, creating opportunities for its workforce.
The ninth and final event was held at the National Advanced Air Mobility Center of Excellence (NAAMCE) near Springfield. Panelists included J.P. Nauseef and JP Stewart. Governor DeWine noted, "Ohio has a long and proud history as the birthplace of new aviation technologies, and the work happening at NAAMCE is one example of how we are continuing to build on that legacy."
Lt. Governor Tressel emphasized the collaborative spirit, saying, "All across the state, we’ve seen what happens when businesses, educators, workforce leaders, and communities work together." The tour aimed to celebrate this teamwork and assure Ohioans of local opportunities for a great future, building on the state's momentum.
