The U.S. Census Bureau today announced the release of new data products from its Business Trends and Outlook Survey (BTOS), designed to provide timely insights into key economic measures and future business expectations.
The BTOS continuously collects data on business conditions, including revenues, employees, hours, and inventories, complementing existing economic surveys. This data is representative of all U.S. employer businesses, excluding farms.
By offering continuous, bi-weekly data with geographic and subsector detail, the BTOS aims to capture the impact of significant events like natural disasters and economic crises, thereby assisting in monitoring recovery efforts across the nation.
