The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deported numerous individuals last week, including those convicted of serious crimes such as murder, rape, and arson.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin emphasized the administration's commitment to public safety, stating, "Every day, the brave men and women of ICE put themselves at risk to arrest and remove illegal aliens from our communities." He added, "Last week, ICE deported murderers, rapists, and arsonists. Under President Trump’s leadership, we will always put the safety of the American people first."
Among those deported were Ian Rosales Castro from Ecuador, convicted of second-degree murder and kidnapping; Jesus Avilas-Urquiza from Bolivia, with two convictions for criminal sex assault; and Erlin Molina-Ramos from Honduras, convicted of third-degree rape.
Also removed were Ruben Gonzalez-Gazpar from Mexico, with convictions including arson and illegal re-entry, and Andy Gomez-Niebla from Cuba, convicted of robbery. Secretary Mullin concluded, "If you’re here illegally, we will find you, arrest you, and deport you."
