BCI Foods, Inc., based in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada, has initiated a recall of approximately 4,300 pounds of its "tasty KITCHEN Chicken Noodle Condensed Soup" because the product was imported into the United States without the required U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) import reinspection. The recall was announced by FSIS on July 23, 2026.
The affected product is a 10.5-oz can of "tasty KITCHEN Chicken Noodle Condensed Soup PRODUCT OF CANADA," produced on February 4, 2026, with a "best by" date of "2028 FE 04" and lot code "5 9 2 26 035." It bears the Canadian establishment number "EST. 142" and was distributed to food banks and food pantry locations specifically in Oklahoma.
The issue came to light when BCI Foods, Inc. informed FSIS that the canned chicken soup had not undergone the necessary import reinspection process. There have been no confirmed reports of illness or injury associated with the consumption of this product.
Consumers who have purchased this chicken noodle soup are advised not to consume it and should either dispose of the product or return it to the place of purchase.
