The Washington Post is reporting that former CIA director John Brennan's attorneys have asked a judge to order top officials at the Justice Department to preserve all records related to an investigation of the Obama-era intelligence director. It said the attorneys intend to use those files as part of a defense argument. This argument would contend that any prosecution of Brennan stems from a vindictive drive by President Donald Trump’s administration to seek revenge against a longtime critic.
