The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) have scheduled a series of public meetings and contested case hearings throughout July and August 2026 concerning various environmental permits across Texas. These events provide opportunities for public engagement on proposed wastewater discharge and air quality permits.

Upcoming public meetings include a discussion on South Central Water Company's proposed Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) Permit No. WQ0016585001 in Hutto, Williamson County, on July 14. The TCEQ will also hold meetings for Battleground Concrete, LLC's new Air Quality Standard Permit (Registration No. 182946) in Channelview, Harris County, on July 16, and Qyk Brands LLC's similar air quality permit (Registration No. 183195L001) in Liberty, Liberty County, on July 27. All public meetings are scheduled for 7:00 PM Central time.

Several preliminary contested case hearings are also on the calendar, conducted by SOAH. These include hearings for GRBK Edgewood LLC and Rummel & Rohde Farms Ltd's TPDES Permit No. WQ0016601001 on July 20, and Lower Valley Water District's TPDES Permit No. WQ0016296001 on July 21. Further hearings are set for Melissa 413 LLC and Tommy Doak Robbins's TPDES Permit No. WQ0016817001 on August 5, and Logan X Ready Mix LLC's Air Quality Standard Permit (Registration No. 179939) on August 11. All contested case hearings will be held virtually at 10:00 AM Central.

These meetings and hearings are specifically for discussing permitting issues, such as whether facilities should obtain, renew, or amend permits. The TCEQ's Office of the Chief Clerk (OCC) arranges public meetings, while SOAH handles most hearings. For specific questions, individuals should call the contact person listed on the hearing or meeting notice, or the OCC at 512-239-3300 for general inquiries. SOAH can be reached at 512-475-4993.
