The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Air Quality Bureau has announced several draft air quality permits are available for public review, encouraging Iowans to comment on proposals designed to protect public health and air quality. These permits are reviewed by DNR staff to ensure compliance with state and federal air quality standards.

Among the permits open for comment is a significant modification for Grain Processing Corporation located at 1600 Oregon Street in Muscatine. Project 25-336 involves changes to the operating conditions and parametric monitoring for the GP1/GP2 Gluten Spray Dryers, with permit typos also corrected.

The public can review these construction permits online via the DNR's permit search portal or the EASY Air Public Inquiry Portal. Written comments on the Grain Processing Corporation project must be submitted to the assigned permit writer by 4:30 p.m. on June 29. The DNR considers all public comments before finalizing permits.
