Fairfax County Animal Services Offers Fee-Waived Adoptions Ahead of Campus Closure

Fairfax County Animal Services is hosting its second and final fee-waived adoption weekend from Friday, August 28, through Sunday, August 30, following over 75 adoptions last weekend during the "Clear the Shelters" event.

This event marks the last opportunity to adopt from the Michael R. Frey Campus before it temporarily closes on Monday, August 31, for approximately six months of HVAC renovations. During this period, the Lorton Campus will remain open with normal operating hours.

Every adoption helps make space for more animals in need. Additionally, cats and dogs aged six years and older adopted this weekend will receive a $250 Pender Vet medical credit, thanks to the Friends of Fairfax County Animal Shelter.
