Newsweek is reporting a memorial service for Lindsey Graham is scheduled to take place at National Cathedral. It said President Donald J Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu and Volodymyr Zelensky are among those expected to eulogize Graham, noting his support for their war efforts.

Newsweek is also reporting that Ukraine struck supply lines in the Caspian Sea that connect Russia and Iran. It said the strike resulted in at least one Iranian casualty, with Iran identifying the individual as a non-combatant sailor on a commercial ship. Ukraine said it was targeting legitimate Russian military assets. Newsweek suggested this action technically makes Ukraine a belligerent in the U.S.-Israeli conflict against Iran. It noted that Iranian-made drones have been used by Russia against Ukraine, and Moscow has supplied intelligence to Tehran during the conflict.

Newsweek highlighted documentary footage showing Graham's views on military action. It said Graham expressed joy when President Trump initiated a bombing campaign against Iran in February. Newsweek reported Graham predicted Iran would lose control of its cities within "three to four weeks" and that greater Arab involvement would create "almost irreversible momentum," neither of which occurred. It also said Graham attempted to convince Trump to join Israel's bombing campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon, but was dissuaded by Netanyahu.
