Governor Gavin Newsom signed three bills into law today, addressing various issues including taxation, public employee retirement, and contractor licensing.
The legislation includes SB 762 by Senator Jesse ArreguĂn, concerning transactions and use taxes, and SB 939 by Senator John Laird, which focuses on public employees’ retirement service credit payments.
Additionally, SB 1165, authored by Senator Anna Caballero, addresses contractor licenses and outstanding liabilities assessed by the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration.
