Philadelphia, PA – Salahudin Reddy, 39, of Philadelphia, was sentenced today to 94 months in prison and three years of supervised release for his involvement in a large-scale cargo theft conspiracy. United States District Chief Judge Wendy Beetlestone handed down the sentence, as announced by U.S. Attorney David Metcalf.
Reddy, also known as “Dean” and “Deen,” pleaded guilty in March 2026 to multiple charges, including conspiracy, four counts of theft from an interstate shipment, and theft of government money. He was charged by superseding indictment in December 2024.
Between January and July 2023, Reddy conspired with others to steal goods from tractor trailers in the Philadelphia area. The conspirators used tools like bolt cutters to break into unattended trailers, often overnight or while drivers slept, then sold the stolen merchandise to local contacts.
Reddy admitted to participating in thefts totaling over $1.5 million from more than 10 victims. Notable thefts included hundreds of thousands of dollars in frozen crab legs, over $360,000 worth of Samsung televisions, and more than $230,000 in U.S. dimes. The case was investigated by the FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department, with Assistant U.S. Attorneys Alexander Bowerman and Christopher Diviny prosecuting.
