The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is reporting on several key figures from its recent studies. CSIS experts estimate that Operation Epic Fury cost the United States approximately $3.7 billion in its first 100 hours. The organization also noted that international Brent oil prices surpassed $92 per barrel on Friday, March 6, marking a 28 percent increase since the previous Friday. In terms of industrial policy, CSIS said Chinese spending ranged between 4.0 and 5.5 percent of GDP from 2011 to 2023, which is over three times the amount spent by the European Union. Additionally, CSIS highlighted that financial transactions carried by subsea cables are valued at an estimated $10 trillion globally per day.
