Solar activity remained low over the past 24 hours, with eight numbered sunspot regions currently visible on the solar disk. However, the forecast indicates a 10% daily probability of an X-class flare from June 8 to June 10.
The geomagnetic field, previously quiet to unsettled, is expected to escalate. Day one (June 8) could see quiet to severe storm levels, followed by unsettled to major storm levels on day two (June 9). Day three (June 10) is predicted to return to quiet to active conditions. There is also a 25% chance of protons greater than 10 MeV crossing the threshold on June 8.
