A study revealed that 92% of 49 websites advertising GLP-1 weight-loss drugs provided prescriptions to a "secret shopper" with minimal direct clinician interaction. Reshma Ramachandran, co-director of the Yale Collaboration for Regulatory Rigor, Integrity, and Transparency, said, "[They] need to have protections in place that are more robust." This highlights a lack of oversight in online pharmaceutical access.
Separately, Yale researchers are challenging a long-held theory regarding the evolution of warm-blooded predators like tuna. The theory suggested that the asteroid impact which killed the dinosaurs created conditions spurring tuna evolution, but new findings indicate this theory "doesn't quite hold water."
