U.S. Census Bureau Unveils New Business Trends and Outlook Survey Data

The U.S. Census Bureau today released new data products from its Business Trends and Outlook Survey (BTOS), providing timely insights into current business conditions and future economic projections.

The BTOS continuously collects data on key economic measures such as revenues, employees, hours, and inventories. This survey is representative of all employer businesses across the U.S. economy, with the exception of farms.

By offering continuous, bi-weekly data with detailed geographic and subsector information, BTOS helps monitor the state of the economy. It is designed to capture the impact of significant events like natural disasters and economic crises, assisting in the oversight of recovery efforts.
