Cure For Paranoia, the 2026 Tiny Desk Contest winners, delivered an inspiring concert showcasing years of dedication and perseverance, performing songs that were once their past contest submissions.

The Dallas-based group, despite having only weeks between their win and filming, presented a seamless show. Each song performed was a testament to their long-held Tiny Desk aspirations, demonstrating their journey through the contest.

Decked in custom eyeball jumpsuits by artist Jerod “DTOX” Davies, the band opened with “The Artshow,” their 2025 submission. They then played their 2026 winning song, “No Brainer,” where emcee Cameron wove together 365 verses about community and political frustration, encouraging the audience to let loose.

The set concluded with “That Kid Cam,” their very first Contest submission, named after McCloud’s childhood moniker. Before the final song, Cameron honored his late mother, his biggest supporter, who encouraged his daily verse project.

“When she passed, I had every reason to quit and not continue,” Cameron said. “But I knew it would make my mom so sad if that was the reason why.” He urged the audience, saying, “there’s no reason that everyone in this room can’t do what they set their mind to.” The 2026 Tiny Desk Contest was sponsored by Capitol One and supported by Rivian.
