The film was released in a limited number of U.S. theaters and digitally on June 19 before Elon Musk streamed it on X, where it garnered more than 15 million views in 48 hours and climbed charts on Amazon Prime and Apple TV. The outlet noted that the internet quickly sorted the two films into rival teams.
