The epicenter was located 165.1 km (102.4 mi) ENE of Atka, Alaska. It was also situated 1489.7 km (923.6 mi) SSE of Anadyr, Russia, and 1638.3 km (1015.8 mi) SW of Anchorage, Alaska.
