U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of several "worst of the worst" criminal illegal aliens, including individuals convicted of murder, attempted statutory sex offenses with children, and kidnapping. This action aligns with the agency's focus, as nearly 70% of ICE arrests involve illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S.
Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin said, "Under the Trump Administration, ICE is arresting criminal illegal aliens every single day. Just yesterday, ICE arrested murderers, pedophiles, kidnappers, and other public safety threats." He added that the Trump Administration prioritizes American safety and that DHS is fulfilling President Trump’s mandate to make America safe again by arresting and deporting illegal aliens.
Among those arrested were Maurice Codner from Jamaica, convicted of murder in Mineola, New York; Jose De Jesus Figueroa from Mexico, convicted of murder and drug offenses in Salt Lake City, Utah; and Zenaido Jacinto-Martinez from Mexico, convicted of attempted statutory sex offense with a child in Pender County, North Carolina. Other arrests included Rowan Andrew Brown for kidnapping in Boston, Massachusetts, and Lucero Chapa-Serrato for large-scale marijuana possession in Zapata, Texas.
