Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has issued a proclamation to immediately ease restrictions on the transportation and access of motor fuels across the state. This measure aims to ensure continued availability of essential fuels for residents and businesses.
The proclamation is effective immediately and will remain in force until 11:59 p.m. on May 28, 2026. It temporarily suspends specific regulatory provisions of Iowa Code, particularly those pertaining to hours of service for crews and drivers. These drivers are involved in delivering diesel, gasoline or gasoline blends, ethanol, and biodiesel into or within Iowa, facilitating smoother supply chains.
