The affected product is 8-oz. plastic packages of "CURRY CHICKEN SALAD" with a "USE BY: 07/30/2026" date, bearing establishment number "P-39928" inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were produced on July 22, 2026, and distributed to retail locations in Oregon and Washington. The issue was identified during routine establishment testing.
Consumption of food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, a serious infection. Symptoms include fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, and loss of balance. Listeriosis primarily affects older adults, individuals with weakened immune systems, and pregnant women, potentially leading to miscarriages or severe illness in newborns.
There have been no confirmed reports of illness associated with this product. FSIS urges consumers who have purchased this Curry Chicken Salad not to consume it. The product should be discarded immediately or returned to the place of purchase.
