A Baltimore, Maryland man has been sentenced to 41 months in prison for his role in a cocaine trafficking operation in West Virginia. Terrell Antonio Henderson, 35, received his sentence after being found guilty of selling cocaine in Berkeley County.
U.S. Attorney Matthew L. Harvey announced that Henderson collaborated with others to transport cocaine from Baltimore to the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. During an ongoing investigation, officers observed a suspected drug transaction near Henderson’s vehicle in a Spring Mills parking lot. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the seizure of $1200, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Lara Omps-Botteicher prosecuted the case, which was investigated by the Eastern Panhandle Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, and the Martinsburg Police Department. U.S. District Judge Gina M. Groh presided over the sentencing. This case is part of "Operation Take Back America," a nationwide initiative aimed at eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations.
